Birthday Soup, Closet Joy & Spring Forward
Life lately has been full of little things that make home feel extra good — birthday celebrations, a finished closet project, and the reminder that spring is just around the corner.
Here are a few recent bits and bobs from around our house.
Daniel’s Birthday + His Favorite Soup
We celebrated Daniel’s birthday this week with two of his favorites: ice cream cake and his beloved potato soup.
This potato soup has become one of our go-to cozy recipes, especially in the colder months, and the best part is that it’s incredibly easy because it’s made in the Instant Pot.
If you're looking for a simple comfort recipe, this one is worth saving.
The Closet Is Finally Finished
Our primary closet project is officially finished, and I have to say — I’m completely obsessed with how it turned out.
A huge thank you to Lynn Marie, who designed the space and helped bring everything together so beautifully. It now feels calm, functional, and so much easier to use every day.
And another big thank you to Alison Moulder with Simplicity and Style, who came in and helped organize everything perfectly. Having someone with a professional eye for organization makes such a difference.
I’m sharing a few photos because it turned out so good. (The photos don't do it justice! It's so peaceful and boutique like!)

For those who have asked about some of the organizing pieces, here are a few of the items we used:
Don’t Forget to Spring Forward
A friendly reminder that we spring forward this weekend.
Longer evenings and more sunshine are definitely welcome… even if it means we’ll probably all be a little extra tired next week.
Who else is already preparing for the lost hour of sleep? 😅
Louisville Real Estate Market Snapshot
(January – February 2026)
Because I can’t completely avoid talking about real estate, here are a few quick numbers from the Louisville housing market right now:
Closed Properties:
1,756 homes sold
Average Days on Market (to contract):
65 days
Average Price Per Square Foot:
$196.56
Average Sales Price:
$334,641
The market continues to move steadily, though buyers are taking a little more time to make decisions compared to the fast-paced frenzy of the past few years.
If you've been curious about what your home might be worth in today's market, or if you're considering a move in the near future, my team and I are always happy to talk through your options.
Thanks for catching up on a few Bits & Bobs from life lately.
